Who is Bobcat ?

Bobcat is an American Manufacturer of Construction machines and equipment with base in North Dakota, USA.  Bobcat are specialist in Skid-steer loaders, but also very popular, when it comes to mini excavators. They were famous for their innovation from the early days, and thats still what Bobcat stands for.

Bobcat Company is a subsidiary of the South Korean-based Doosan Bobcat Inc. They are known for their compact equipment including skid-steer loaders, compact excavators, telehandlers, and attachments.

The Bobcat excavator product line was introduced in 1987 with the 225 model. At the time, the 225 was the smallest compact excavator in the world. This early model was followed by the 231 and 325 models in 1990.

In 1993, Bobcat released the 337 model, which featured the first hydraulic clamp on a compact excavator. This was a significant innovation, as it allowed the excavator to pick up and move heavy objects with ease.

Over the years, Bobcat continued to innovate and improve their excavator line, releasing new models with improved features and capabilities. In 2002, Bobcat introduced the first compact excavator with a zero tail swing, which allowed for more precise digging in tight spaces.

In 2007, Bobcat introduced the E80 model, which was their largest compact excavator at the time. This model had a maximum digging depth of 15 feet and a maximum reach of 24 feet.

Today, Bobcat continues to produce a wide range of compact excavators, including models with conventional tail swing and zero tail swing, as well as mini-excavators and compact excavators with reduced-tail-swing. They also offer a variety of attachments for their excavators, including buckets, breakers, and grapples.
